A Thought
In this life we can not always do great things. But we can do small things with great love.." :) Mother Teresa
Prayer Quote
“I pray because I can't help myself. I pray because I'm helpless. I pray becausethe need flows out of me all the time- waking and sleeping. It doesn't change God- it changes me.” ― C. S. Lewis
Faith
I believe in the sun even when it's not shining. I believe in love even when I don't feel it. And I believe in God even when He is silent. (quote found on the wall of a concentration camp)
Everything is wrapped in brown paper, but we chose different ribbons and Christmas themed stickers
instead of wrapping paper. The Brown paper we have had for a long time. It was a LARGE endless roll with the consistency of a shopping bag. :)
We found ribbon at Hobby Lobby at 50% off, so our wrappings were pretty cheap this year! :)
Such a brilliant idea! I love the brown paper sold here and it looks so uniform and pretty. Considering that ribbon from last year is still on sale next door, I think I know where I'll be during my lunch break!
Glad you like it! We tried using Calico material one year so the girls could save their "wrapping" for making quilts when they are older. Somehow, I still love that idea, but the girls were not quite interested.
I may try again for next year, and see if they are in the "saving" mode. :)
The brown paper idea came from "The Sound of Music's "My favorite things" song. :)
That's so cool! And, reading your reply to another comment about the idea coming from The Sound of Music, I think it's even cooler! I love that movie! :)
I think this year I'm going to try using tulle to decorate Christmas presents. I've seen pictures of it and it looks so pretty!
