His Mercy

A Thought

In this life we can not always do great things. But we can do small things with great love.." :) Mother Teresa

Prayer Quote

“I pray because I can't help myself. I pray because I'm helpless. I pray because the need flows out of me all the time- waking and sleeping. It doesn't change God- it changes me.”
― C. S. Lewis

I believe in the sun even when it's not shining. I believe in love even when I don't feel it. And I believe in God even when He is silent. (quote found on the wall of a concentration camp)

Thrown Away Like Trash

I was confronted by somebody on a web site who didn't like that I told Alli that she was not trash.
Well, dear person,  she ISN'T!
Is every child who is disrupted thrown away like trash ?
NO! They are not!
Are some, YES they are.

I always say, "If the shoe does not fit, do not try to put it on!" "Do not own something that is not yours to own.

I have a dear friend who is suffering in a situation I would not wish on my worst enemy!
They have not disrupted at this point, but may have to for their own safety......
Please know, for my readers:
If I am talking to my sweeties, and I blog about it....It CANNOT and MUST NOT be personalized.
I am speaking to them about THEIR perspective on things and THEIR individual situations!!!!!!!
Each and every situation is different.....
But YES!!!! My sweeties FELT tossed out like yesterday's garbage.
And I stand by that! 110%

Sometimes people don't understand the language that we use with our hurt children.

When my oldest was little, he would say, "They just throwed me away!" in reference to the family that disrupted him. In response I would tell him that he was not just some "throw away kid" and that was a phrase that we used and understood between each other. Another adult heard me say it and not hearing the full conversation felt badly about me using those words.

Sometimes...people just don't know what our kids think and believe about themselves.

I hear in your conversations with your girlies loving truths that replace hurtful lies.
